Infographics on Open Badges

Create an badge image

If the success of a badge depends mainly on the ecosystem in which it is integrated, the creation of a quality visual is also important. It is, in fact, the first element “seen” and its role is all the more significant when the intention is also to communicate, through the badge, about the issuing organisation, the project, the event, etc.

Existing Apps

It is possible to create a badge image in different ways. The choice of the method depends on several criteria: the budget allocated, internal skills, graphic preferences, etc.

For a more professional design

The tools presented above do not offer the possibility of a very accomplished creation of the image of a badge. But, they at least have the merit of allowing you to start with a clean visual.

For a more graphic design, it is better to turn to :

  • the Open Badge matrix below developed by the Dôme de Caen and Casus Belli (the matrix is available in Creative Commons)
  • graphic design professionals
  • an image editing or graphic creation software program
